Each button measures approximately 20mm in diameter. Each button is made from super fine, super white Australian porcelain which has been hand polished to make it deliciously tactile and smooth. The buttons have a matte finish, as they are unglazed, just polished.
The owl design is applied using a japanese tissue transfer technique before the buttons are fired.
I machine wash my buttons on the garments they are attached to, on a wool cycle, and though I havent had any problems, I do still feel a little nervous each time. If you were to gently machine wash the buttons in a washing bag, or even inside out you should have no problems.
